About
A weekly field report on AI reshaping design, by a practicing senior product designer.
I've been a product designer for ten years, most of them in health-tech. diffuse.design is where I write down what I'm seeing as AI reshapes the work.
About this archive: diffuse.design launches with ten essays I drafted over the last six months and held back, plus one new piece on Anthropic's Claude Design launch. Each archive essay is dated to when the events it covers actually happened. From April 2026 forward, a new essay every Tuesday.
The premise is simple. Designers who treat AI as a tool that extends craft are pulling away from designers who treat it as a threat. The gap is not technology. It is habit. Every week I send one essay on what I am learning about closing that gap.
I previously worked on the Galaxy Watch at Samsung, did human factors engineering at AstraZeneca, and studied behavior change psychology at UCL.
